TriComB2B Receives Two Awards for Video Animation

(VANDALIA, OH) – TriComB2B, a Vandalia, Ohio, agency dealing extensively in the B2B marketing of technical products and services, has received two awards in recognition of its work on an animated video project for Emerson Climate Technologies, a TriComB2B client. The agency received a Silver ADDY for the video at this year’s Hermes Awards ceremony held recently at the Schuster Performing Arts Center. It also was honored with an Award of Excellence for the video at this year’s awards banquet for the West Michigan Shores Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.

The Emerson video explains how technological advances in the digital modulation of compressors translate into increased cost savings and energy efficiency. It includes a photo-realistic three-dimensional model of the compressor, animated depictions of mechanical operation and fluid flow, and a concise narrated script that describes applications, technical function and end customer benefits.

Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation, the ADDY Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition. The contest attracts more than 50,000 entries each year in local competitions. The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.

The Society for Technical Communication (STC) is an individual membership organization of technical communicators. Its more than 23,000 members include experts in a variety of disciplines whose work involves making technical information understandable and available to those who need it. The awards competition recognizes outstanding efforts in the field of technical communication.
