John Buscemi Participates in Leadership Dayton Class of 2010 Commencement

(DAYTON) – John Buscemi, Principal of TriComB2B, was among the participants at this week’s commencement exercises for the Class of 2010 of Leadership Dayton, a premier leadership development program. The event was held Wednesday evening at the Dayton YWCA. Buscemi was among 43 community representatives recognized for completing the program.

Sponsored by the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Dayton is an 11-month program designed to teach class participants through presentations, discussion and direct experiences about every major aspect of community life. These aspects range from education and economic development to criminal justice and cultural arts. Over 800 business and community representatives have completed the program since its inception in 1976.

A regional leadership initiative, Leadership Dayton is open to individuals residing and/or working in Butler, Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby and Warren counties. The program is designed to not only benefit individuals by energizing them to make positive impacts in their communities, but it also is designed to benefit organizations and communities. Participation in the program by an organization’s employees is a demonstration of that company’s commitment to making the Dayton region a better place. Organizations benefit as program participants build leadership skills and their organizational effectiveness through exposure to other community leaders and an enhanced understanding of regional issues. Communities benefit from one of the principal goals of Leadership Dayton – a resource of community leadership.

“Leadership Dayton has given me invaluable insights into both the advantages and the challenges that exist in the Dayton region,” Buscemi said. “I am very proud and thankful to have been given the opportunity to participate in this inspirational and educational program that has enriched my life both personally and professionally.”
